INTERNSHIP STRUCTURE
This is a hybrid paid + unpaid internship.
Paid Hours:
Interns will be paid $15/hour for on-site event work, including weddings and events where you are physically assisting the Everson Events team.
Unpaid Hours:
Unpaid hours focus on education, shadowing, research, content creation, and learning the business side of wedding planning.
Interns are considered an extension of the Everson Events team and are expected to show up professionally, proactively, and with a strong desire to learn.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the planning team on wedding and event days
Support setup, breakdown, timelines, and client-facing tasks
Receive first access to event work opportunities outside of the core planning team
Shadow planners with backend operations such as emails, timelines, vendor communication, and workflows (optional)
Attend weekly team meetings (day and time may vary)
Weekly Blog Assignment
Interns will complete one blog post per week based on wedding industry research. Research may include podcasts, articles, online resources, and industry trends. Blog posts should summarize key takeaways, insights, or learnings from that week.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
WRITTEN APPLICATION
Applicants must submit:
A current resume
A cover letter (maximum 250 words) explaining:
Why you are interested in pursuing work in the wedding or events industry
A past experience (work, school, or personal) that shows your ability to be proactive, reliable, or work as part of a team

Cover letters should be thoughtful, clear, and written professionally.

Applicants must submit one design board showcasing a wedding or event concept.
Design boards should include:
A cohesive color palette

Floral or styling inspiration
Overall mood and aesthetic
Design boards do not need to be for a real client. We recommend using Canva and downloading your board as a PDF Standard to share easily. Remember, there is no “right” design here. We are looking for creativity, clarity, and thoughtfulness, not perfection.
VIDEO SUBMISSION
Applicants must submit a 3–5 minute video answering the prompts below.
This does not need to be professionally filmed! Your phone works great for filming & we ask that you submit your video in the email as either a Google Drive link or an unlisted YouTube link.
Please address the following in your video:
Who you are and what draws you to the wedding industry
Why you’re interested in interning with Everson Events specifically
What excites you about learning both event-day work and the backend side of planning
One strength you would bring to the Everson Events team
What you hope to learn or gain from this internship experience
Be yourself. We’re looking for warmth, professionalism, curiosity, and personality; not a polished performance.
